Prior to joining Adler & Colvin, Ms. Ortega worked as a summer fellow at Yale Law School in the Community and Economic Development Clinic. Her work there focused on providing transactional legal services to clients seeking to promote economic opportunity, including but not limited to affordable housing developers, community development financial institutions, farms, farmer’s markets, fair housing advocates, and neighborhood associations.
As a foreign-trained lawyer and LL.M. graduate, Ms. Ortega has worked in the transactional and public interest field several years. While she finished her law school studies in her home country, Nicaragua, she worked for a corporate law firm in the transactional law, environmental, regulatory, compliance, and pro-bono departments.
Ms. Ortega is admitted to the bar in the state of California.
Ms. Ortega is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
