Ms. Chan is a member of the State Bar of California and Bar Association of San Francisco (Pro Bono and Community Service Committee). She currently serves as Newsletter Associate Editor of the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Ms. Chan is also an alumni coach for the UC Hastings Moot Court Competition Team.
Ms. Chan has presented at national conferences, including the American Bar Association Midyear Meeting and Board Source Leadership Forum, and for local groups, such as the Bar Association of San Francisco and Foundation Center – San Francisco. She has also guest lectured for the Master of Nonprofit Administration degree program at the University of San Francisco.
Ms. Chan is admitted to the bar in the state of California.
Before joining Adler & Colvin, Ms. Chan practiced as an associate at NEO Law Group where she advised nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on matters involving corporate governance and state and federal tax laws. In 2012, Ms. Chan received the Outstanding Young Attorney award from the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association for her contributions to the nonprofit sector and development of nonprofit law.
