It is with both appreciation and sadness that we share the news that Erik Dryburgh is retiring at the end of this year after a long career in the nonprofit sector and at our firm.
Erik started his professional career as an accountant at Arthur Andersen. After stints at several other firms, focusing both on tax exempt entities and estate planning, he joined Adler & Colvin in 1995 offering a unique mix of expertise in accounting, trusts and estates, and charitable gift planning. He has been an integral part of Adler & Colvin, as an expert lawyer, a part of our management structure, and a friend and mentor to so many of us. He has been a prolific writer and speaker. We will all miss his knowledge and insight, but even more perhaps, his wry sense of humor and big picture perspective on the firm, the sector, and life more broadly.
We know that a big reason for his retirement is to spend more time with his wife Lupe, visiting his two boys Daniel and David, embarking on travels, riding his beloved bikes, and hopefully discovering a new passion or hobby to embrace.
Please join us in wishing Erik a happy retirement and a good start to the rest of his life!
